What the Care Map Method™ is

CMM is a proprietary clinical framework for caregiving decisions across the lifespan — children and older adults alike. It assesses a person across four need domains (the BESE Care Framework™) and moves through four stages: Map, Match, Merge, Manage.

It was built from twenty years of clinical casework and grounded in established developmental and attachment theory — not assembled from marketing copy. That distinction matters when your product makes recommendations to families about care.

The BESE Care Framework™

Every Care Map assessment reads a person across four need domains — because a caregiving problem is almost never confined to one.

BIOLOGICAL

Health, mobility, medication, sleep, nutrition, medical needs.

EMOTIONAL

Mood, attachment, anxiety, grief, behavior, sense of security.

SOCIAL

Relationships, isolation, school and work life, family dynamics, community.

ENVIRONMENTAL

Home safety, accessibility, routines, transportation, care setting.

Four stages: Map, Match, Merge, Manage

01 · MAP

Assess the whole person across all four BESE domains and surface the real needs.

02 · MATCH

Match those needs to the right care, caregiver, service, or setting.

03 · MERGE

Onboard and integrate the caregiver into the family or facility so care actually takes hold.

04 · MANAGE

Monitor, adjust, and document care over time as needs change.

How engagements are structured

Most begin with a scoping conversation and a defined pilot — a single track, a single product surface — rather than a full enterprise rollout. Licensing is typically annual, with terms scaled to company size and use. Advisory work is retained separately.

If you're evaluating whether a clinical framework belongs in your product at all, that's a reasonable first conversation to have, and there's no cost to it.

Tell us about your product and users. Scoping conversations are free, and most engagements start with a single defined pilot.
